Eventim Apollo Hammersmith
45 Queen Caroline Street, London W6 9QH
Large west London venue with an amazing and legendary history. Both outside and in Hammersmith Apollo is a truly stunning Art Deco masterpiece. Built in the golden age of cinema its now a listed building - which means no one can mess with it. The venue has had numerous names over the years but is still known and referred to by most as either Hammersmith Odeon or Hammersmith Apollo. With unreserved standing/seating it can hold 5000+, a figure which drops to around 3600 when seats are reserved. The ground floor is generally stalls standing but for some shows seats are put in. The upstairs balcony is mostly seats. The list of instantly recognisable names who have played here is equal, if not bigger, than any venue in London and Hammersmith Apollo is every bit as popular today as ever. Located right next to Hammersmith Tube station (but exit via the Queen Caroline Street NOT the King Street exit), just follow the crowds. Loads of local bars, the two most popular are probably The Trout (shopping centre near the south entrance) and The Duke of Cornwall in Fulham Palace road. Our suggestion is to have a drink in the venues upstairs bar, its amazing.
