Morrissey.

Born in Lancashire in 1959 Morrissey first gained fame as part of iconic UK indie band The Smiths. Although only active as a band for five years The Smiths had a huge far reaching influence. Morrissey began a solo career after the bands break up and has continued to explore his former bands "kitchen sink" realism and themes of alienation and search for identity. Although Morrissey is half Irish his music is definitivey British in its lyrics and stories, and even the artwork and imagery he utilises. Morrissey is one of the original anti star personalities and his live shows are part exuberance and part catharsis, a rallying point for his fiercely loyal followers; committed for life.
